How to check your settlement claim status
You filed, you got a confirmation, and then nothing. That is normal. Here is how to look up your claim and read what the status means.
Where to look
- Open the official settlement website (the one in your confirmation email).
- Find the claim lookup, check status, or contact page.
- Enter your claim ID plus your email or ZIP code.
Common statuses
| Received or submitted | Your claim is in the queue. Nothing to do. |
|---|---|
| Under review | The administrator is checking eligibility and proof. |
| Deficient | Something is missing. Respond by the date given or the claim may be denied. |
| Approved | You will be paid once the court approval and any appeals are done. |
| Denied | See what to do if your claim is denied. |
Why payments take months
A settlement pays only after the final approval hearing and the appeal window. Read when settlement checks arrive for typical timelines.
Watch for scams
Administrators do not text you asking for a fee or your bank login to release a payment. See fake settlement texts.

Frequently asked questions
How do I check my settlement claim status?
Go to the official settlement website and look for a claim status, lookup, or contact page. Enter your claim ID and the email or name you used.
I lost my claim ID. What now?
Search your email for the confirmation from the administrator, then contact them through the official site with your name and address. They can usually look it up.
Why has my settlement not paid yet?
Payments wait for final court approval and for any appeals to finish. That can add months even after the claim deadline passes.
Who do I contact about my claim?
The settlement administrator, listed on the official site. Not the company being sued and not the court.
