CVS settlement: who qualifies and how to claim

If you have ever visited cvs.com, cvshealth.com, or used the CVS app in the US, you are likely a class member in a privacy settlement with CVS Pharmacy and the ad tech company Criteo. The lawsuit says data about users of CVS's websites and app was shared with Criteo and other third parties through technology built into those sites. CVS and Criteo deny breaking any law. The claim form is short.

Who qualifies

The class is all living individuals who accessed the CVS Digital Properties in the United States before July 27, 2026. The notice names www.cvs.com, www.cvshealth.com, and the CVS digital application. You did not need to buy anything or have a prescription. If you used any of them, you can file.

$5 or $10: which option to pick

Cash Payment A, up to $10: attach proof that you used a CVS website or app before July 27, 2026. The claim form lists browser search history, screenshots showing dates, or email receipts of online purchases as examples.

Cash Payment B, up to $5: no proof or explanation needed.

An email receipt from a CVS online order placed before July 27, 2026 is one of the examples the claim form accepts, so search your inbox first. Either amount may go down if many people file, because the money is split proportionately once fees and costs are paid from the $20.5 million maximum.

How to file

  1. Open the official CVS Digital Privacy Settlement site and click Submit a Claim. You can also print the claim form and mail it to CVS Digital Privacy Settlement, PO Box 1110, Costa Mesa, CA 92628.
  2. Enter your name, address, email, and phone number.
  3. Choose Cash Payment A (attach proof) or Cash Payment B (no proof).
  4. Pick PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or check.
  5. Submit by 11:59 p.m. EST on November 16, 2026 and save your confirmation.

Only one claim per household is allowed, so agree on who files.

When you get paid

The court's final approval hearing is December 1, 2026. Under the notice, payments go out 120 days after final approval and any appeals. Checks expire 180 days after they are issued, so an electronic option is safer. The notice also says you may be responsible for any taxes; see are settlements taxable.

Is the CVS settlement legit?

Yes. It is a court-supervised settlement with a court-authorized website, and the administrator's documents are hosted by Simpluris. Never pay to file, and type the address yourself instead of tapping a texted link. See fake settlement scam texts.
