How to file a class action claim, step by step
Filing a class action claim is free and usually takes a few minutes. You do not need a lawyer or a notice in your mailbox. Here is the whole process, start to finish.
1. Check that you are in the class
Every settlement has a class definition: who bought what, where, and when. Read it on the official site or on the settlement page here. If the dates or product do not match, skip it.
2. Open the official claim site
Use the link in your notice or the official link on PayoutDrop. Avoid search ads and texts with short links. See how to tell if a settlement is legit.
3. Fill in the form
- Enter your name, address, email, and any claim or notice ID.
- Answer the eligibility questions honestly. Claims are signed under penalty of perjury.
- Upload proof if you have it. It often raises your payment.
4. Pick how you get paid
Choose PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or direct deposit when offered. Paper checks are slower and can expire. Compare options in payment methods and timing.
5. Save your confirmation
Screenshot the confirmation page and keep the email. Your claim number is how you check claim status later.

Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to file a class action claim?
Most online claim forms take three to ten minutes. Claims with proof take a little longer because you upload receipts or statements.
Do I need a claim ID to file?
Not always. If you got a notice it usually includes a claim ID or notice ID that speeds things up, but most settlements also accept claims from people who never got a notice.
Can I file a claim if I never received a notice?
Yes, in most cases. If you fit the class definition you can usually file directly on the official settlement website.
Does it cost anything to file?
No. Filing a real class action claim is always free. Any site asking for a fee is not the official administrator.
